About
Established in September 2007, DNN aspires to be an essential resource for quick, accurate and insightful information on WFTDA-style flat track roller derby. Whether you’re searching for upcoming bouts, bout recaps, strategy analysis, profiles on derby personalities, links to new derby sites or just some first-person accounts of life in the middle of the flat-track revolution, you’ll find it here! If you have a bit of derby news you’d like DNN to feature, please do not hesitate to contact justice AT charmcityrollergirls DOT com.
DNN is maintained by Justice Feelgood Marshall, an egotist who refuses to refer to himself in the first person. He is the head referee of Baltimore’s Charm City Roller Girls, and is obsessed to a nearly pathological degree with the flat-track roller derby phenomenon; fortunately, he is so charming and disarmingly handsome that nobody seems really weirded out by this.
He has refereed nearly 50 roller derby bouts since April 2006, including all four of the 2007 WFTDA tournaments — Dust Devil Western Regionals, East Coast Extravaganza, Heartland Havoc Eastern Regionals, and the Texas Shootout National Championships.
He is one of the seven members of WFTDA’s Rules Committee and is currently helping to write the next version of the WFTDA ruleset. He also serves as co-captain of one of the few male roller derby teams in the nation, Baltimore’s Harm City Homicide.
He skates really fast!
He is willing to attempt to outdrink you, although he’s perfectly aware he may fail. The fun is in the journey, not the destination.
He likes it when people comment on DNN posts.
He hopes you enjoy this website, because although he does most things strictly for himself, he’s doing this for you.

all you need now is James Earl Jones’ voice saying “THIS is D-N-N!” (or maybe Jeff da Ref’s).

Justice,
I have some pictures from Austin up at http://www.flickr.com/tucsonmark. Feel free to link to them or use them as you see fit. I’m the guy who came up and talked to you out in the hallway at Nationals as you worked on your laptop (I have the huge mutton chop sideburns). I was impressed by your reffing and your agility in the oval. Keep up the good work, hope to see you again soon.
